Easter – What is the Truth About it?



Many Christians will be celebrating Easter in a few weeks. But whose birth, death and
resurrection does it really represent? Is an Easter sunrise service found in the bible? Is Lent
scriptural? For the answer to all of these questions, let’s turn to scripture.

Eze 8:14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of YHWH's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.

Notice in verse 14, we find women weeping for Tammuz. Who was Tammuz? He was the son of
Nimrod, a mighty hunter in the face of YHWH. He was the founder of Babylon. The
Babylonians, in their literature, claim that Bel (Baal) was the founder of Babylon. Many
scholars think that Nimrod was Bel. Nimrod was the grandson of Ham. He married a
woman by the name of Semiramis. It is thought he met a violent end and ascended into
heaven. He was deified as the sun god and impregnated his wife by the rays of the sun. The
male child that was born was called Tammuz. Semiramis considered her son to be her reincarnated
husband Nimrod, so she married her son. Semiramis also died and ascended to
heaven, but was considered too pure to remain there so was sent back to earth in a giant egg
that landed in the middle of the Euphrates river. As she burst forth from the egg, the first
thing she did was change a bird into an egg laying rabbit (Easter eggs). She was known by
various names to different nations. She was known as Ishtar, Ashtarte, Astarte, Ashtoreth,
Aphrodite, Demeter, Athena, Venus, Isis, Rhea, Ma and the mother of god, among others.

Tammuz was regarded as a sun god, but was killed in his 40th year by a wild boar. So, the
women in various cultures wept for him under different names, Tammuz by the Chaldeans,
Bacchus by the Greeks, Adonis by the Phoenicians, Osiris by the Egyptians and Mithras by
the Romans and Persians. This weeping was for a period of 40 days, each day representing
one year of his life. Then the weeping would turn to joy on Easter morning at sunrise when
Tammuz was to be resurrected. The 40 days of weeping for Tammuz is now referred to as
“Lent”.

Eze 8:15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.
Eze 8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of YHWH's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of YHWH, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of YHWH, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.


Is there any denying that this was an Easter sunrise service as we see the same thing played out
year after year in the churches? Immediately after Lent, Easter morning follows in which
Christ” is believed to have been resurrected. We can readily see that Easter was an ancient
celebration long before the birth of Yahshua. It has nothing at all to do with his death and
resurrection, but everything to do with the death and resurrection of the sun god. Easter is a
pagan festival and every sun god is represented by Satan. So who is truly being worshiped on
Easter morning at a sunrise service?

Let’s return to Ezekiel as there is more to the story.

Eze 8:17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
Eze 8:18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and
though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.


Remember, originally there was no chapter or verse numbers in scripture. These were later
added by the Catholics to make it easier to find things. But in doing so, false divisions were often
created. So let’s continue to read on into chapter 9 for the rest of the story.

Eze 9:1 He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
Eze 9:2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
Eze 9:3 And the glory of the Elohim of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;
Eze 9:4 And YHWH said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
Eze 9:5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
Eze 9:6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near
any man upon whom is the mark
; and begin at my sanctuary
. Then they began at the ancient men
which were before the house.
Eze 9:7 And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.

Eze 9:8 And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah, Master YHWH! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?
Eze 9:9 Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, YHWH hath forsaken the earth, and YHWH seeth not.
Eze 9:10 And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.
Eze 9:11 And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the
matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me.


So it doesn’t appear that our Father appreciates the celebrating of the Pagan feast of Easter and
attributing it to the sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of His son. We know that the true
resurrection of Yahshua, the Messiah, took place on Passover, not Easter.

How did this abomination come about? From historical records, we find that it was declared by
Constantine at the Nicene Council in 325 CE to be observed instead of Passover. Death was the
punishment for anyone caught observing Passover. He also changed the weekly Sabbath to
Sunday at that time and also made the keeping of Sabbath a crime punishable by death.
We are cautioned many times in scripture not to mix the holy with the profane and the clean
with the unclean. By observing a pagan festival and attributing it to YHWH’s own son is an
abomination to Him. The Hebrew word for abomination is “to‛ebah” is the strongest word in Hebrew to indicate utter hatred or disgust for something.

Now that we know that YHWH utterly hates the pagan feast of Easter, wouldn’t it be prudent to
be more respectful to our Father and to repent for our ever having participated in this unholy
event? Do you want the special mark upon your forehead for abhorring and lamenting about the pagan practice of Easter? Do you think you will receive this mark if you continue to participate in this abominable feast?

Goals of Islam with Avi Lipkin

Shalom all,

It's been awhile since I've posted anything, so would like to resume by reminding everyone of the promises of our creator regarding the land boundaries of the coming kingdom of our Messiah.

We read in Deut 11:24:

 Deu 11:24  Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.

This also includes all the area where Israel wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. The real Mount Sinai is not in the Sinai desert of Egypt, but in Saudi Arabia in the land of Midian.

The future borders of Israel will include Lebanon, parts of Syria all the way to the Euphrates, west to the Mediterranean and down to the great desert of Saudi Arabia. Everywhere Israel wandered in the 40 years in the great desert is given to them by YHWH. This includes the Islamic "holy" sites of Mecca and Medina.

 There is an interesting book called "The God of the Mountain" written by Penny Cox Caldwell which describes the journeys of their young family into the forbidden area of Saudi Arabia to the true Mount Sinai where the children of Israel encamped. The book contain numerous pictures of the holding pens for animals to be sacrificed, altars, white marble stone pillars, evidence of stone structures with thresholds, petraglyphs, possibly Elijah's cave, a split rock which may be where Moses struck the stone with his rod to get water and a very interesting  picture of the outlines of a sandal carved in rock. Next to the footprints is the proto Hebrew character "kaf" carved near them. Kaf means palm of hand or sole of the foot. These prints are found to go all the way down into Yemen, over through Jordan and all the way up the Persian Gulf side of Saudi Arabia. They appear to be for the purpose of reminding YHWH of His promise that everywhere the soles of their feet tread, that land belongs to them.

The True Owner of Planet Earth is Returning Soon

This video offers 100% scientific proof that there is a creator of the universe. Some skeptics may scoff and many agnostics may doubt, but there is no way possible an inhabitable planet can exist anywhere without a creator fine tuning all the necessary parameters to support life as we know it.

I ran a computer program years ago to compute the possibility of another planet anywhere in the cosmos that would support life such as ours. I used 22 parameters that are absolutely necessary for life and after several days of running the program, none was found that even had half the needed requisites. This video shows that there are many more than the 22 necessary variables than I had believed 15 years ago.

Does YHWH Desire Compromise?

Many churches seem to support the position that things have changed and YHWH doesn’t expect us to be as rigid in our conduct and worship of Him as in olden times. We don’t seem to have any problem inviting unbelievers in to preach to our congregations. A well known Karaite Jew was invited into a Messianic congregation to speak and when I voiced my objection, the believer that sent me the notice told me “Lighten up Brick…..the times are changing and I pray you can be flexible enough to change as well.

The times may be changing, but scripture tells us YHWH does not change (Mal 3:6). What He hated 3000 years ago, He hates today.

Does YHWH condone the mixing of the Holy (Kadosh) with the profane? What fellowship can light have with darkness?

2Co 6:15 And what concord hath the Messiah with Belial? or what part hath he that
believeth with an infidel?

How can we compromise with those things YHWH calls an abomination? Recently, the Presbyterian Church (USA) voted to ordain openly practicing homosexuals to the ministry.
YHWH calls this an abomination.

Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination .

In fact, He says they should be put to death.

Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them
have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall
be upon them.

There is no stronger word than “abomination’ in the Hebrew to indicate the hatred of something. Strong’s Concordance defines it as follows:

YHWH absolutely hates the practice of homosexuality. He hates all manner of sin, but those things He calls an abomination are especially despicable and repugnant in His eyes.

Okay, so we may not be homosexual and this doesn’t apply to us. But, what other things may we be doing that are not pleasing to YHWH? Are practices or beliefs that contain 99% truth and 1% error acceptable to Him?

YHWH says He will not share His glory (Kavod) with anyone. So is the celebrating of Christmas and Easter acceptable to YHWH? Both of these are pagan celebrations and have nothing at all to do with YHWH. Just because everyone is observing Christmas and Easter doesn’t make it acceptable to YHWH. In fact, Eze 8:16 tells us 25 men with their backs to the temple were worshiping the sun as it came up in the east. To get an idea of how He felt about it, read all of chapter 9 of Ezekiel. He had them all slain without mercy or pity. Only those who sighed and cried for all the abominations done in Jerusalem were spared.

We know this is referring to Easter as we were told in Eze. 8:14 that women were weeping for Tammuz. This was the 40 day period of weeping, now called Lent, which preceded the supposed resurrection of Tammuz, the sun god at sunrise on Easter morning.

YHWH called these practices “wicked abominations” in Eze. 8:9 and referred to the sun rise service as an even greater abomination. This is about as strong a condemnation of this practice as can be made in the Hebrew language. YHWH absolutely abhors it.

Celebrating the pagan feast of Easter and attributing it to the resurrection of YHWH’s son Yahshua, is tantamount to expecting YHWH to share His glory with Satan. Easter was a pagan feast long before the birth of Yahshua.

Isa 42:8 I am YHWH: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another,
neither my praise to graven images.

The complete disregard of the Sabbath in favor of Sunday is the same as paying homage to the sun god. Yet, we are told that the keeping of the Sabbath was to be a sign between YHWH and His people forever (Exo 31:16-17). I wonder whose sign is the keeping of Sunday?

How about little white lies? Is it okay to tell a lie to spare some ones feelings? YHWH also calls this practice an abomination.

Pro 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to YHWH: but they that deal truly are his
delight.

What other things are abominations to YHWH?

Pro 11:1 A false balance is abomination to YHWH: but a just weight is his delight.

Deu 25:15 But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure
shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which YHWH thy
Elohim giveth thee.

Deu 25:16 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an
abomination unto YHWH thy Elohim.

An unjust weight is theft; taking something that doesn’t belong to you, no matter how small, is still theft.

We are not to pollute our bodies by eating things that YHWH has pronounced unclean.

Lev 20:25 Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and
between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable
by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground,
which I have separated from you as unclean.

The unclean thing used for food is also called an abomination in Lev 11:10-42. It doesn’t matter the rationale that some use today to justify eating what YHWH has called unclean; they are unclean because He said so. We are to be a holy, set apart people unto YHWH.

Lev 20:26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I YHWH am holy, and have severed you
from other people, that ye should be mine.

Cross dressing is called an abomination to YHWH.

Deu 22:5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall
a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto YHWH
thy Elohim.

How about idols and graven images?

Deu 27:15 Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an
abomination unto YHWH, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it
in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, so be it.

You often see little images and statues of angels and J-sus on a cross in many churches. These are all idols and are forbidden by Torah.

What is expected of us then? We are told to set a difference between the clean and the unclean, the holy and the profane. We are not to learn the way of the Heathen. We can’t mix the worship of demons with the worship of YHWH. YHWH expects us to be a Holy people totally set apart unto Him without compromise.

1Pe 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of
conversation;

1Pe 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

The word "Holy" is kadosh in Hebrew and it means to be sanctified, made clean and set apart. YHWH does not expect us to compromise with the world, but to be set apart to Him for His purposes. If we compromise with the world, then we are no different than them.

1Co 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of YHWH? Be
not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor
abusers of themselves with mankind,

1Co 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners,
shall inherit the kingdom of YHWH.

YHWH seeks those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23).

Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his Elohim, and he
shall be my son.

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and
whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in
the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

We are to be different than those around us who do not know nor worship YHWH. We are not to compromise with evil and should avoid even the appearance of it. A little leaven spreads through the whole loaf. Compromise leads to more sin as we tend to become desensitized to it. We become lukewarm like the church of Laodicea of Rev 3:16 which causes the savior to want to spew us out of his mouth.

Compromise is the wide path that many are on, which leads to destruction, but the people that YHWH is looking for are those that enter in at the strait gate and are called His people - Yisrael.

Compromising with the world is not pleasing to YHWH and ruins our witness. How can we be a light to the nations if we look no different than they? Think about it.

Are the True Names of YHWH and Yahshua Important?



I am often asked why is it important to use the set apart (kodesh) names of the Father and
His Son instead of the generic names many call them today. Why can’t we just call them
anything we want to and hope they understand? Suppose that everyone decided that we
would start calling our savior Herbie. Would you feel comfortable praying to The Father
in Herbie’s name? Or what if they decided to call the Father, the great Kahuna?

Isn’t this essentially what has happened many years ago when the Greek, Latin and
English translators of the Hebrew Scriptures wrote in false names for the Father and His
Son? They didn’t use the title “great Kahuna” which is actually a corruption of the words
“great priest (Cohen). But they did decide to call them “The Lord and Jesus
respectively. I wonder who was behind this. Who would benefit from hiding the name
one would call upon for salvation? Do I smell sulfur?

The translators took it upon themselves to substitute a title (the Lord) almost 7,000 times
in Scripture for the Tetragrammaton (YHWH) which represents the Father’s self declared
name. Any good concordance will show this to be true. Look at the underlying Hebrew
text and you will see the letters YHWH, pronounced Yahweh wherever you see the
substituted words “the Lord”. Consider the following scriptures:

Jer 23:26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea,
they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;


Jer 23:27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which
they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name
for Baal.

And in Hosea:

Hos 2:16 And in that day, says Yahweh, you will say to me, Ishi; (husband) and you will
never again give me the name of Baali; (My Lord)


Hos 2:17 For I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth, and never again
will she say their names.
(This is at Yahshua’s return)

Look it up in your Strong’s concordance. One of the definitions of the word Ba’al” is
Lord”.

From H1166; a master; hence a husband, or (figuratively) owner (often used with another noun in modifications of this latter sense: - + archer, + babbler, + bird, captain, chief man, +
confederate, + have to do, + dreamer, those to whom it is due, + furious, those that are given to it, great, + hairy, he that hath it, have, + horseman, husband, lord, man, + married, master, person, + sworn, they of.


And in the BDB Hebrew Dictionary:

Baal = “lord”

1) supreme male divinity of the Phoenicians or Canaanites (noun proper
masculine)

Now do you still feel comfortable calling YHWH Baal? Remember the prophets of Baal in
1 Kgs 18?

1Ki 18:21 And EliYah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two
opinions? if YHWH be Elohim, follow him: but if the Baal, then follow him. And
the people answered him not a word.


Which one do you follow? YHWH or Baal (the lord)?

The consort of Baal was Ashtaroth, Ishtar, Oestre, Astarte, Isis, Venus, Diana, the Queen
of Heaven and a whole host of other names. You may recognize Oestre and Ishtar which
is where we get the word “Easter”. She was also known as the Queen of Heaven, the wife
of Ba’al. (The Virgin Mary is also referred to as the Queen of Heaven). Remember all
the Asheroth that the Hebrews were always erecting on the high places? Probably not, as
many translations cloak the meaning by calling them “groves”. YHWH sent Israel and
Judah into captivity for continuing to construct the Asheroth poles to the fertility
goddess (Ashtarte) on the high places and worshipping Baal. So who are we really
honoring now when we call YHWH “the Lord”? My money would be on Satan.

There are many scriptures that show us that YHWH is the name of our Elohim
(erroneously called God). God is also the name of a pagan deity and we find its name in
Isa 65:11.

Isa 65:11 But ye are they that forsake YHWH, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.

Don’t see god mentioned anywhere here? Well, it’s because it is hidden by the
translators. Let’s examine it with Strong’s numbers:

Isa 65:11 But ye 859 are they that forsake 5800 the LORD, 3068 that forget 7913 (853) my holy 6944 mountain,2022 that prepare 6186 a table 7979 for that troop, 1408 and that furnish 4390 the drink offering 4469 unto that number. 4507 (KJV)

Let’s peel away the deception here. First of all, where you see “the LORD” written above,
note the Strong’s # 3068 beside it. Let’s look at Strong’s # 3068 and see what our
concordances tell us is the Hebrew meaning of that word:

BDB Definition:

Jehovah = “the existing One”

1) the proper name of the one true God

The proper pronunciation is Yahweh as the word “hovah” means ruin and destruction.
And there is no “J” in the Hebrew alef-bet. The “hovah” part was the result of the
Masoretic vowel pointing of the Tetragrammaton YHWH with the vowel points for
Adonai”. This was to cue the Jews to not pronounce the sacred name, but to say Adonai
instead. The translators didn’t understand that, hence they translated it “Jehovah”.

Let’s look at the word translated “that troop”. It is Strong’s # 1408.

BDB Definition:

Gad = “god of fortune”
1) a Babylonian deity


The above (Gad) is pronounced “god” and is the pagan deity of fortune or luck. I suppose
this is where we get the expression “good luck”. So here it is, we find that the word “god
is the name of a pagan deity. It is also the name of a pagan German deity (Gott) used as a
surname for Odin, which is probably how it came to us in English.

So looking at the rest of the verse, what does “that number” (Strong’s # 4507) mean?

BDB Definition:

Meni = “fate” or “fortune”

1) god of fate who the Jews worshipped in Babylonia

The cover up just continues on and on.

Let’s look at a few more scriptures that indicate YHWH’s name is important.

Jer 16:19 O YHWH, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

Jer 16:20 Shall a man make elohim unto himself, and they are no elohim?

Jer 16:21 Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is YHWH.

And these...…

Jer 23:26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

Jer 23:27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which
they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for
Baal.


Can you see how this relates to Jer 16:21 above, that our fathers have inherited lies and in
Jer 23:26 it reminds them that the prophets (preachers, Pastors) have preached lies and
made their flock forget the name of YHWH and instead call Him Baal (the Lord)?

Eze 39:6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am YHWH.

Eze 39:7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am YHWH, the Holy One in Israel.

Note, this is during the day of YHWH when He sends a fire upon Magog. People are
now, and still will be polluting His kadosh name until that day. So if people are polluting
His kadosh name now, what are they calling Him?

Isa 42:8 I am YHWH: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Wonder why He didn’t say His name is “the Lord”? Of course, that is exactly what it says in most translations which is the reason why most people still use the false names.

Exo 3:15 And Elohim said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, YHWH Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the
Elohim of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my
memorial unto all generations.


His name still hasn’t changed and never will.

Isa 47:4 As for our redeemer, YHWH of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.

Again, it does not say His name is “The Lord” (or Baal) except in your corrupted
translation.

Hos 2:16 And it shall be at that day, saith YHWH, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.

Hos 2:17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

Baalim just means “Lords”. Yahweh will take those names out of Israel’s mouth. By the
way, the Book of Hosea is written exclusively to the House of Israel.

Mic 4:5 For all people will walk every one in the name of his elohim, and we will walk in the name of YHWH our Elohim for ever and ever .

For ever and ever means throughout all eternity. Now read carefully the next verse.

Joe 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of YHWH
shall be delivered
: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as YHWH
hath said, and in the remnant whom YHWH shall call.


But that is “Old Testament”. Okay, let’s see if it is in the New Testament.

Act 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of YHWH
shall be saved.


And again….

Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of YHWH shall be saved.

How can one call upon the NAME of YHWH if he doesn’t know it?

Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under
heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.


Do you think calling upon the name of “Herbie” or any other false name will get it?
Actually, Herbie would be derived from the Teutonic deity “Her or Er” . Her-gott was the
great thunder deity. So Scripture is pretty clear here that the name YHWH/YAHshua are
the names called upon for salvation, not Herbie, Lord, Jesus or god (as there are many of
these). You may say “well, he knows who I mean” – really? What do your actions say? Do
you observe Easter, Xmas, Valentines Day, Halloween, or hallow Sunday as your
Sabbath? All of these are Satan’s pagan counterfeits and are the equivalent of mixing the
kadosh (holy) with the profane.

The scripture above in Acts 4:12 speaks of the savior, Yahshua, whose name means the
Salvation of Yahweh”. Yahshua’s name has also been horribly corrupted over the past
2,000 years. There was never anyone called “Jesus” before the 1500’s when the letter “J”
was invented. Prior to that, he was called Iesous by the Greeks. Iesous is a Greek
corruption of the Hebrew name Yahshua. Names are normally transliterated, not
transmogrified. For example, George Bush would be called George Bush in any country
in which he traveled. He would not be called Jorge Arbusto in Spain or Mexico, but by
the English pronunciation of his name. The same should have been done for our savior’s
name.

Here is how the false name “Jesus” was derived from the Hebrew “Yahshua”. There is no
Y” sound in the Greek, so they used the closest sound to that which was iota-eta
pronounced “ee -eh”. Next, there is no “sh” sound in the Greek, so they used “sigma” to
give an “s” sound. Finally, there was a problem using the “ua” ending of Yahshua’s
name. It is feminine and all Greek masculine names end in “us”. So the name became
Iesous” (Iesus in Latin). Then in the 1500’s a little hook was added to the “I” and it
became a “J”. So now we have Jesus.

However, in English all the Hebrew letters in Yahshua’s name CAN be pronounced. So
one has to ask, why was the Greek rendering used instead of the Hebrew sound of his
name?

Joh 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in
his own name, him ye will receive.


Yahshua came in His Father’s name (YAH shua). Yah is the short poetic form of Yahweh.
Whose name is in Jesus? The “us” endings of masculine Greek names is in honor of Zeus.
So is he coming in the name of Zeus? You decide.

When Yahshua rode into Jerusalem, the people took palm branches and laid them in his
path.

Joh 12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna:
Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of YHWH.


The King of Israel came in the NAME of YHWH, not Zeus. Another thing about the name
Jesus”; in Spanish it is pronounced “Hey soos”. Those are two Hebrew words, “hey”
means “the” and “Soos” means “Horse”. So he is hearing them call him “the horse”.
Is this very honoring to our savior to be called names sounding like Zeus or the horse?

Once a person knows the true name of an individual, it is an act of gross disrespect to call
him anything other than his true name. There is a more compelling reason to use the
proper names that were revealed to us in Scripture. It is part of the Ten Commandments.

Exo 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of YHWH thy Elohim in vain; for YHWH will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Most people think this means swearing in His name, but it is much more than that.
Besides, most people don’t really swear in His name at all, but use some substitute like
god”. Let’s break down the word meanings above into their Hebrew components as the
Ten Commandments were originally written in Hebrew.

A literal translation of the above would be as follows:

“Thou shalt not lift up the name of Yahweh your Elohim falsely, for Yahweh will not
make him clean
who lifts up His name falsely.” The word translated “vain” in Hebrew is
“sh’va”. It is Strong’s # 7723.

A Related Word by BDB/Strong’s Number: from the same as H7722 in the sense
of desolating or ruin.

So when one refers to him as “god” or “Lord”, they are using His name falsely and are
bringing it to ruin and emptiness. To use these pagan names is a violation of this 3rd
Commandment. His name represents His character and we are not to diminish it in any
way through misuse or as a lie. He will not share His Kavod (glory) with any.

Here is another reason we should use the true name of the Father and hence, the Son.

Mal 3:16 Then they that feared YHWH spake often one to another: and YHWH hearkened,
and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared
YHWH, and that thought upon his name .


Mal 3:17 And they shall be mine, saith YHWH of hosts, in that day when I make up my
jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him


Whose name do you think upon?

Whose name do you want written on your forehead? Hint - it sure won’t be Jesus, God or
the Lord.

Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my Elohim, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my Elohim, and the name of the city of my Elohim, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my
Elohim: and I will write upon him my new name.


Rev 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of YHWH and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

Rev 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

Yahshua is not going to marry a bride that doesn’t even know his name. The bride of
Messiah will be keeping all the commandments of YHWH including the Sabbath, using
the true names, observing the Feasts of YHWH and keeping the clean food laws. They
will obey Him and they will make up the bride the Father chooses for His Son. He will
not choose a pork eating, Sabbath violating, Commandment breaking, Pagan feast
(Easter) observing, disrespectful, and unclean harlot bride for His dearly beloved son.

The choice is yours…. Herbie or Yahshua?

The Two Resurrections

This video is a little longer than the ones I normally post, but I feel it is important to our understanding of the Great White Throne Judgment (Rev 20:11-12) and who will be there. This is a commonly misunderstood passage of scripture.

Is it the end of the line for all those there or are some given a second chance according to their deeds of entering into the kingdom of Yahshua?

Rev 20:11  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

Rev 20:12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before YHWH; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.


This takes place at the end of the millennium  and is the second resurrection of the dead. Those who did not make the first resurrection of the kadosh (righteous set apart) ones will be included in this resurrection.

Are We Eating Meats Sacrificed to Idols?

Due to the large population of Muslims living in the U.S. today, many industries are emerging that serve meat that is slaughtered according to Muslim law. It is called “Halal” or “lawful” for the Muslim to eat. It is meat that is slaughtered according to strict guidelines of Muslim law such as the animal is faced toward Mecca (the east) and has the “bismillah” (name of Allah) pronounced over it. In other words, it is meat offered to Allah.

Shouldn’t believers in Yahshua Ha Moshiach refrain from eating meat sacrificed to idols? We know that no idol represents YHWH, so the one the idol represents is obvious. We are told in Acts 15:29 and 21:25 to avoid eating meats sacrificed to idols.

Act 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
Act 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

Although according to Paul in 1 Cor. 10:19-25, meat sacrificed to idols is meat sacrificed to devils.

1Co 10:19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
1Co 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to Elohim: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
1Co 10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of YHWH, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of YHWH's table, and of the table of devils.

But if we unknowingly eat of meat sacrificed to idols, it will not harm us.

1Co 10:25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles (meat market), that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
1Co 10:26 For the earth is YHWH's, and the fulness thereof.
1Co 10:27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.

However, if we are aware that it was meat sacrificed to idols or devils, then we should not eat of it.

1Co 10:28 But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is YHWH's, and the fulness thereof:

But then Paul adds:

1Co 10:29 Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?

He seems to conclude that even though he knows it is offered to an idol, it would be lawful for him to eat. This seems to conflict with Luke’s warning in Acts 15:29 that we should abstain from meats offered to idols. I’ll leave it up to you to decide for yourself. But for me personally, if I know it is meat offered up to an idol or devil, I will not partake of it.

There are certain symbols proclaiming that food is “Halal”. These all proclaim that the food has been sacrificed according to Sharia law. All have had the name of Allah pronounced over them.

How Important is Your Name to You?

Have you ever been introduced to someone and 15 minutes later they have forgotten your
name. Have you ever met someone and they persisted in calling you by a name that isn’t
yours? How did that make you feel?

How important is it to have your correct name on vitally important documents, such as
the deed to your home, car, pay check, savings account or your medical chart?

How do you think our heavenly Father feels when his name has been replaced in the bible
almost 7,000 times by the phrase “The Lord?” Or how does He feel when you refer to
Him as “God?” Both of these titles come from paganism. He tells us many times in
scripture how important His name is and that He doesn’t like being called by pagan titles.

Jer 23:26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies?
yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;
Jer 23:27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which
they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for
Baal.


Referring to the Brown-Driver-Briggs’ Concordance, we find that one definition of the
word “Baal” is “Lord”.

Do we really feel comfortable referring to YHWH as Baal? How does YHWH feel about
our calling Him “God?” It can readily be shown that this word also comes from
paganism. It is the word substituted for the Hebrew word “Elohim.”

Isa 65:11 But ye are they that forsake YHWH, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.

The Hebrew word translated “that troop” is  “gad”. The Massoretes vowel pointed
it to be pronounced as gad, but we find other scriptures where the word is vowel pointed
to be pronounced “god”. An example is Jos. 11:17 where we find “Baal God” or “lord
god”. Most scholars agree that gad refers to the Canaanite pagan deity of luck or fortune.
Could this be the origin of the common phrase “Good Luck”?

Gad is usually identified with Jupiter by astrologers. Alexander Hislop in his book “The
Two Babylons” identifies gad as the Sun deity. He goes on to say that the name Gad is
applicable to Nimrod. We also find that “gott” or “god” was also the name of a Teutonic
deity. It was used to refer to the false deity Odin. C.J. Koster writes “We further found
Goda” as a proper name of an idol. Moreover, the same author (quoting Jacob Grimm,
Teutonic Mythology) relates how Wodan the name of the highest god also called Wotan
and Odan, was also called Godan.”

Scripture tells us in numerous places that the name of YHWH is Holy (Qodesh - set
apart- sacred) and we are not to profane it.

1Ch 16:10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek YHWH.


Lev 22:32 Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am YHWH which hallow you


Psa 33:20 Our soul waiteth for YHWH: he is our help and our shield.
Psa 33:21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.


Psa 145:21 My mouth shall speak the praise of YHWH: and let all flesh bless his Holy name for ever and ever.

This is only a few of the numerous scriptures that indicate that the name of YHWH is
very important for us to use. How can one bless and praise His Holy name if one does not
utter it? We are told in scripture that we are guilty of profaning the Holy name of
YHWH.

Eze 36:17 Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.
Eze 36:18 Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it:
Eze 36:19 And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.
Eze 36:20 And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of YHWH, and are gone forth out of his land.
Eze 36:21 But I had pity for mine holy name , which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.
Eze 36:22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Master YHWH; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake , which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
Eze 36:23 And I will sanctify my great name , which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am YHWH, saith the Master YHWH, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.


Many will say it isn’t important what name we call Him because He knows who we
mean. But the above scriptures seem to disagree. The Muslims and many other pagan
religions also call their deity “God”. Why should we call out Elohim that?

Eze 44:23 And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane , and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

We know that the name of YHWH is Holy and that the names of pagan deities are
profane. Brown-Driver-Briggs define the Hebrew word translated profane as follows:

Is YHWH’s name “common?” Isn’t calling Him by a ‘common’ pagan title mixing the
Holy and the profane? Isn’t that the same as bringing His name to naught or in a false

So, is it fair to assume then that since these false gods are nothing, then by calling our
Elohim (YHWH) by the titles and names of any false god, is also bringing his name to
nothing?”

There are many scriptures that indicate that YHWH is zealous for His Holy name. His
name is also in the name of our Messiah, Y’shua. Shouldn’t we also be zealous for the
only name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved?

There are so many scriptures that state that YHWH’s name is very important, it is hard to
do justice to the subject. However, I wanted to keep this as short as possible and concede
that there are many other scriptures I could have used to prove this. Perhaps, this might
provoke others to do a scripture study on the words “holy name”.

One final question on the importance of names. Would you want some other name or title
written into the Book of Life in place of your true name? I think the answer is obvious.
So why don’t we make sure we honor our heavenly Father by using His proper name
when we refer or pray to Him? We are much more solid ground by doing so.

Just what is “legalism?”

You often hear the term “legalist” applied to someone who believes in obeying Yahweh's
Commandments as written in the Torah. It is basically defined as “ any doctrine which states salvation comes strictly from adherence to the law.” (Wikipedia)

Let's define a few terms before we continue.

The word translated “law” in the New Testament scriptures comes from the Greek word “nomos”.

Strong's Concordance defines it for us as follows:

From a primary word νεμω nemo (to parcel out, especially food or grazing to animals); law specifically (of Moses (through the idea of prescriptive usage), generally (regulation), [including the volume]; also of the Gospel), or figuratively (a principle): - law.

We can verify this is true by looking at a direct “New Testament” quote of an “Old Testament” verse.

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith YHWH; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them Elohim, and they shall be to me a people:

A quick check of Strong's Concordance will show that the word above translated “law” is indeed the Greek word “nomos”. Now compare it to the corresponding verse from the “Old Testament”:

Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YHWH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people.

The word translated “law” in the above verse is the Hebrew word “Torah”.

Again referring to Strong's Concordance:

From H3384; a precept or statute, especially the Decalogue or Pentateuch: - law.

Therefore, we can conclude that the Greek word “nomos” translated as “law” in the “New Testament” is equivalent to the word “Torah” in the “Old Testament”.

We are told in 1 John 3:4 that sin is defined as the breaking of the law (Torah).

1Jo 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law .

Again, we can refer to our Strong's Concordance to verify that the word translated “law” above is the Greek word “nomos”.

The same Greek word “nomos” prefixed by the letter “A” (anomos) means “lawless”. A similar word “anomia” therefore means “lawlessness”. We find several examples of this word translated in the New Testament.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, My master, my master, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, My master, my master, have we not prophesied in thyname? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.


Once again referring to Strong's Concordance, we find the word translated “iniquity” above is the Greek word “anomia” which we defined above as “lawlessness”. Since we have also seen that the law that is being referred to is the Torah, then we see that the real meaning of “iniquity” is the breaking of the Torah. So a worker of “iniquity” would be one who is “Torahless”.

The Mystery of Iniquity of 2 Thess 2:7 would therefore refer to the “Mystery of Torahlessness”.

If obedience to Torah is legalism, then Yahshua was the greatest legalist of all time. He never broke even one of Yahweh's Commandments. He never condemned anyone for keeping Yahweh's Commandments, but he did condemn those who had substituted mans laws for Yahweh's laws. The Pharisees had elevated their oral traditions above Yahweh's laws. The Pharisees were very legalistic in their beliefs that a person had to keep the Jewish oral traditions they themselves had written in order to be saved.

Another often heard expression that is akin to “Legalism” is the phrase “to be under the law”. This is an often misunderstood statement which has been interpreted as “the act of keeping the law” (Torah). But, actually the term means that one is relying upon the keeping of the Torah for his personal salvation. There has only been one person who was ever able to do it, our Messiah Yahshua. But, when one rejects the free gift of Yahshua, the Messiah, they automatically return to once again being “under the law” to try to earn salvation by their own efforts. However, salvation has always been by the grace of Yahweh and not by any works we have done. Still, that still does not negate the need to keep Yahweh's Commandments. We are told numerous times in scripture to keep the commandments of Yahweh. Failure to do so was the reason Israel was scattered into the nations. It was one of the last things we were told to do in the last chapter of the Old Testament book of Malachi.

Mal 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea,
and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith
YHWH of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
Mal 4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith YHWH of hosts.
Mal 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you EliYah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of YHWH:
Mal 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. 


I listed all 6 verses for context. Verse 1 is referring to the Day of Yahweh which is still future. In verse 4 we are told to remember the law (Torah) of Moses. One of the first things Yahshua taught in his sermon on the mount, was to think not that he had come to destroy the Torah or the prophets.

Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.


Yahshua had a reason for referring to the passing of heaven and earth here. He was reminding them that Moses had invoked “heaven and earth” as witness against Israel what would happen to them if they forsook the Torah. They would be scattered into the nations. This can be found in Deut 4, 30 and 31. So as long as heaven and earth stood as a witness, the Torah would remain in effect.

We are told to follow Yahshua and keep his commandments. His commandments are the same as His Father's. Paul told us to follow him as he followed Messiah. We are to live our lives as Yahshua lived his. Yahshua kept the Torah and all of the Commandments which included the keeping of the Sabbath and using the true name of His Father. He manifested Yahwehs name, not some title, to his disciples. How can we follow Yahshua and do not the things he said? He said in John:

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.


and in 1 John:

1Jo 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1Jo 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of YHWH perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
1Jo 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.


Now, it may be a little easier to understand what Paul meant when he said:

Rom 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before YHWH.
Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.


Those who are “under the law” are relying upon the keeping of the law for salvation. By the works of the law (their own efforts), there shall be no flesh justified. A person cannot rely upon keeping the law for salvation. And the last verse confirms 1 John 3:4 that the law tells us what sin is and that by breaking it, we commit sin.

Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

This is because the very definition of sin is the breaking of the law or Torah. If there is no Torah to break, we cannot have sin imputed to us. However, we know that we do sin. So this means that the Torah is still in effect and Yahshua came because it was. He came to forgive us of our Torah breaking. If the Torah was done away with Yahshua, then why did he die? No Torah breaking, no sin! The answer is obvious. He came because he is the embodiment of the Torah and it remains in effect forever.

There are a couple more verses I'd like to look at here. Notice that the Saints do two things here.

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of YHWH, AND have the testimony of Yahushua the Messiah.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of YHWH, AND the faith of Yahushua.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Do you think it is possible that the false accusation of being legalistic, a word that is not found in scripture, might keep many who say they love Yahshua from the kingdom because they have been duped into thinking obedience to the word wasn't necessary? This means they continued to sin and did not repent of their Torah breaking. Repentance of our sins is necessary for forgiveness. We have to know we sinned. If we don't realize that the breaking of the Torah is sin, we don't think there is anything to repent of.

Obedience to Yahweh's Commandments is absolutely essential for salvation even though it is the free gift of Elohim. We can't earn our salvation, but we can throw it away by refusing to do what Yahweh has commanded us to do in His word. The fear of being labeled “legalistic” will keep many out of Yahweh's kingdom because they will be called workers of “iniquity” by Yahshua.

There are many more scriptures I could have used from both the Old and New Testaments. But I tried to keep this as short as possible and to focus on the New Testament to prove that Torah keeping is as valid for us today as it was when Moses wrote it down.

I do not keep Torah to rely on it for my salvation. I realize that my salvation comes as a free gift bought and paid for by the blood of Yahshua, our Messiah. I keep Torah because He said if I love Him, to keep His commandments. No one will go to hell for being “legalistic” and keeping the Commandments of Yahweh. Just make sure that you are keeping them out of love rather than as a mechanical requirement for salvation. That would be legalism.

Mini Ice Age beginning?

I don't normally post these kinds of things on my blog, but I think this is important. If it is a false alarm, there is no harm done. But if this is true, you need to take action now and store up several months supply of food quickly as it will become scarce very soon. The Gulf Stream Thermo Hyaline conveyor, which brings warm ocean currents to Scotland, the British Isles and Northern Europe, has apparently stopped.

This means that the winters in that part of the world will be severe and may even interfere with crop planting in the spring. No one knows at this time how long it will take for the Gulf Stream conveyor to recover, but it may take years. There are hundreds of feet of oil under the surface in the gulf of Mexico due to the Oil spill disaster and the use of dispersants which only hide it. This has apparently stopped the Gulf loop of the thermo hyaline conveyor which brings warm waters to northern Europe and makes the winters mild.



Satellite data shows that the conveyor current has stopped in the middle of the Atlantic well before it gets to the British Isles. This will mean  a severe winter for that part of the world. If I am wrong about food production being in short supply, one can always eat their stores. But if I am right.... food will be hard to come by.

When Was Yahshua Born?

Today, most of the Christian world and even non-believers observe December 25th as the birthday of Yahshua.  This date is highly unlikely and can be proven to be untrue.

Scripture tells us that Yahshua was born during the reigns of King Herod and the Roman Emperor Augustus.

Luk 2:1  And it happened in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
Luk 2:2  (This taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
Luk 2:3  And all went to be registered, each to his own city.

History tells us tht Caius Octavius Caepias was born in 63 BC.  He had the honorary title of Augustus conferred upon him after the battle of Actium in 27 BC.  He reigned 57 years from 44 BC to 14 AD.  So we know Yahshua was born sometime within this interval.  This taxing was made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria, but there is dispute over when this was, so we will look to other evidence.

Luk 2:4  And Joseph also went up from Galilee to be taxed (out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family line of David).
Luk 2:5  And he took Mary his betrothed wife, being with child.
Luk 2:6  And while they were there, the days for her deliverance were fulfilled.

We also know that Yahshua was born during the time that the evil King Herod reigned.

Mat 2:1  Now when Yahshua was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men came from the east to Jerusalem,
Mat 2:2  saying, Where is He who is born king of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east and have come to worship Him.

According to the Jewish Historian Josephus, we are told that "Antony also feasted Herod the first day of his reign.  And thus did this man receive the kingdom, having obtained it on the hundred and eighty-fourth Olympiad, when Caius Domitius Calvinus was consul the second time, and Caius Asinius Pollio (the first time.)" - Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews - Book XIV, Chapter XIV, Para. V.

The 184th Olympiad occurred from 44-40 BC.  The two consuls mentioned above were in office in 40 BC.  Herod was made king of Judea in 40 BC and according to Josephus, was camped outside Jerusalem 3 years later in 37 BC with his army and took Jerusalem at that time.  Josephus also confirms to us that Herod died 37 years after being made king and 34 years before he had Antigonus killed in 3 BC.  His first act of his reign was the extermination of the Hasmonean house to which Antigonus, the son of king Aristobulus II of Judea, belonged.

History records that Herod died of a terrible disease in Jericho on about Jan. 26, 1 BC.  So this would place the birth of Yahshua prior to 1 BC.

Also, Herod was likely mad just before he died as he slaughtered the innocent male children 2 years old or younger.

Mat 2:16  Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked by the wise men, was greatly enraged. And he sent and killed all the boys in Bethlehem, and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had carefully inquired of the wise men.

We are also told that in the fall of 4 BC, Augustus called for all the inhabitants of Judea to be taxed (See Luke 2:1 above).  They knew that the most opportune time to tax the Jews was when they were in Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles.  Mary had not yet given birth to Yahshua.  The city was full of those coming from other parts of Judea and the world for the Feast of Tabernacles.  Bethlehem was about 4 miles south of Jerusalem and was considered to be in the area of the Feast.  There was no room at the inn because of the vast number of people in the city for the Feast.  So they found a place to stay in a stable with a feeding trough for animals and there he was born.

So we know he was born sometime around the Feast of Tabernacles.  Is there more proof?  Yes.  We are also told that he was born when the shepherds were in the fields with their flocks.  Shepherds took their flocks into the fields in March and brought them in by November.  This was the time between the former and latter rains, April through October.  There is often snow in that area during November and December.  They would never be in the fields during that time.

The Conception and Birth of John the Baptist

The father of John the Baptist was a priest of the order of Abiyah (Abijah).  There were 24 courses of priests that officiated in the temple.  King David had divided the duties into 24 courses (ICh 24:3) in which they served a week at a time.  But upon return from the Babylonian captivity, only 4 of these courses returned.  They were Jedaiah, Immer, Pashur and Harim.  To restore the original number, each of these 4 familes was directed to draw 5 lots each for those who had not returned, so as to form once more 24 courses.

So Zecharias, the father of John the Baptist, was not really of the family of Abiyah, but was one of the 4 orders that returned from Babylon.  However, he officiated in the 8th order which was that of Abiyah.  This cycle of priests ministered int he temple up until it's destruction in 70 AD.

The first day of Nisan on 5 BC was a Sabbath and since the priestly courses changed every Sabbath, the first course of Jehoiarib served the first week of the New Year.  All orders served together during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Pentecost and Sukkot.  The normal rotation would resume after each of these 3 Feasts.  So, since the Feast of Unleavened Bread occurs on the 15-21 of Nisan (Abiv), all courses of priests would minister in the temple.  The 8th course of Abiyah would therefore minister until just before Pentecost from the 27th of Iyyar to the 5th of Sivan (June 1-8).  However, Pentecost began the following day on Sivan 6.  So there was no chance for Zechariah to return home as all 24 courses of priests served in the temple on the week of Pentecost.  So the earliest Zechariah could have made it home was probably a couple of days later.  The conception of John the Baptist would likely have occurred sometime during the 15th - 21st of Sivan (June 18-24).

Luk 1:5  In the days of Herod, the king of Judea, there was a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abijah. And his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
Luk 1:6  And they were both righteous before Elohim, walking blameless in all the commandments and ordinances of YHWH.
Luk 1:7  And they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren. And both were advanced in their days.
Luk 1:8  And it happened in his serving in the order of his course, before Elohim,
Luk 1:9  according to the custom of the priests, it was his lot to burn incense when he went into the temple of YHWH.
Luk 1:10  And all the multitude of the people were praying outside at the time of incense.
Luk 1:11  And an angel of YHWH appeared to him as he was standing on the right of the altar of incense.
Luk 1:12  And seeing this, Zacharias was troubled, and fear fell on him.
Luk 1:13  But the angel said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias. For your prayer is heard, and your wife Elizabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.

After Zacharias finished his service he returned to his house.  It is likely that Elisabeth conceived toward the end of the 3rd month of Sivan (June 18-24).  The gestation period for humans is 280 days which is just over 9 months.  Since Elisabeth would have conceived around Sivan 19-23 (18th to June 24th), John would have been born around Passover of 4 BC.

The Jews always set a place at the Passover table for Elijah.  Yahshua identified John as coming in the spirit of Elijah.

Mat 17:10  And His disciples asked Him, saying, Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?
Mat 17:11  And answering Yahshua said to them, Elijah truly shall come first and restore all things.
Mat 17:12  But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him, but have done to him whatever they desired. Likewise also the Son of Man shall suffer from them.
Mat 17:13  Then His disciples understood that He spoke to them about John the Baptist.

The angel that appeared to Zacharias and announced that he was to have a son added:

Luk 1:16  And he shall turn many of the sons of Israel to YHWH their Elohim.
Luk 1:17  And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for YHWH.

So since the Passover occurs on Nisan 14, it is likely that John was born on that date.

We are also told that John was 6 months older than Yahshua (Luk 1:36).  So this would make the conception of Yahshua to be around the time of Hannukah, the Jewish festival of lights.  Yahshua is called the light of the world in John 8:12; 9:5; 12:46.

Luk 2:1  And it happened in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.

This taxation occurred at the end of the civil year after the harvests were reaped.  Although Judea was a Roman protectorate and the Romans did not collect taxes directly from the inhabitants of Judea, they were receiving tribute from Herod and therefore allowed him to collect taxes from the people.  Conveniently, this taxing was done to coincide with when the people were required by Torah to go up to Jerusalem for the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles).


Luk 2:4  And Joseph also went up from Galilee to be taxed (out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family line of David).
Luk 2:5  And he took Mary his betrothed wife, being with child.

If it were for the purpose of coming to Bethlehem to pay taxes, only Joseph would have been required to go.  But since it was also the time of the fall Feasts and he was required to go up to Jerusalem for Sukkot, he took her with him also.  Some have speculated that because of the circumstances of her pregnancy and her spending the first 3 months of it with Elisabeth, she was able to hide the fact that she was pregnant from the community at Nazareth.  But to remain there and give birth after only being espoused to Joseph for 6 months, would surely cause them problems.  So, if she could go with Joseph and give birth somewhere else where she wasn't known, and then return much later with the child, many unsavory comments might be avoided as no one would know exactly when the child was born.

Jerusalem at that time had a population of about 120,000 and during the 3 Feasts, of which every Hebrew male was required to present himself, the numbers of those attending the Feast could exceed 2 million people.  Since the number of pilgrims exceeded the capacity of the city to provide guest chambers for them, they spread out into the close neighboring towns.  Bethlehem was 4 miles south of Jerusalem and was considered to be in the festival area of Jerusalem.

Luk 2:6  And while they were there, the days for her deliverance were fulfilled.
Luk 2:7  And she brought forth her son, the First-born, and wrapped Him, and laid Him in a manger-- because there was no room for them in the inn.

This explains why there was no room at the inn for them.  It was during the time of the fall harvest Feast of Sukkot.  His birth in Bethlehem was a fulfillment of Micah 5:2.

What other indications are there that the birth of Yahshua took place in the fall instead of the winter as celebrated by much of the world?

Luk 2:8  And in the same country there were shepherds living in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

In Jerusalem, winter comes around the end of October.  The winters are very harsh with cold rains, icy winds and occasionally sleet and snow.  So the shepherds removed their flocks from the fields where they had pastured from the springtime until autumn and housed them in shelters.  No shepherds would have been in the field with their sheep in the winter.  Even today, sheep there are housed during the winter months.

If Yahshua had been born in December, Joseph would not have departed for Egypt 40 days later after Mary's purification and sin offering.  Night time temperatures would be near freezing at that time.

Luk 2:9  And lo, the angel of YHWH came on them, and the glory of YHWH shone around them. And they were grievously afraid.
Luk 2:10  And the angel said to them, Do not fear. For behold, I give to you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
Luk 2:11  For to you is born today, in the city of David, a Savior, who is YHWH the Messiah.

The Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles) is called the "season of our joy" and "the feast of the nations".  This is the only Feast in which YHWH said for us to rejoice (Lev 23:40).

The evidence is overwhelming that Yahshua was born on the first day of the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles) in 4 BC.  He was circumcised on the 8th on the last great day of the Feast.  The Feast of Sukkot along with the last great day is an 8 day observance.

Joh 1:14  And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.

Yahshua's ministry began in 27 AD right about his 30th birthday.  He was crucified in 30 AD in which year the conjunction and vernal equinox occurred on the same day to begin the New Year.  This is the only way to reach a Wednesday crucifixion date and a resurrection at the end of the Sabbath.  Remember Yahshua was in the tomb 3 days and 3 nights or he wasn't the Messiah.  The closest the "sighted sliver" of the moon that can produce a Wednesday crucifixion date is 34 AD and that is provided the crescent can be sighted 10 hours after the conjunction which is nearly impossible.

Conclusion:

Yahshua was born during the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles) in 4 BC, began his ministry in 27 AD and was crucified in 30 AD.  It would have been impossible for him to be born on December 25th, which date is the supposed birth day of practically all sun gods, especially Mithras worshiped by the Romans at the time of Yahshua.

Sir James Frazer in his study on ancient religions writes "Among the gods of eastern origin who in the decline of the ancient world competed against each other for the allegiance of the West was the old Persian deity Mithra.  The immense popularity of his worship is attested by the monuments illustrative of it which have been found scattered in profusion all over the Roman Empire.  In respect both of doctrines and of rites the cult of Mithra appears to have presented many points of resemblance not only to the religion of the Mother of the Gods but also to Christianity.  The similarity struck the Christian doctors themselves and was explained by them as a work of the devil, who sought to seduce the souls of men from the true faith by a false and insidious imitation of it.  So to the Spanish conquerors of Mexico and Peru many of the native heathen rites appeared to be diabolical counterfeits of the Christian sacraments.  With more probability the modern student of comparative religion traces such resemblances to the similar and independent workings of the mind of man in his sincere, if crude, attempts to fathom the secret of the universe, and to adjust his little life to its awful mysteries.  However that may be, there can be no doubt that the Mithraic religion proved a formidable rival to Christianity, combining as it did a solemn ritual with aspirations after moral purity and a hope of immortality.  Indeed the issue of the conflict between the two faiths appears for a time to have hung in the balance An instructive relic of the long struggle is preserved in our festival of Christmas, which the Church seems to have borrowed directly from its heathen rival.  In the Julian calendar the twenty-fifth of December was reckoned the winter solstice, and it was regarded as the Nativity of the Sun, because the day begins to lengthen and the power of the sun to increase from that turning-point of the year.  The ritual of the nativity, as it appears to have been celebrated in Syria and Egypt, was remarkable.  The celebrants retired into certain inner shrines, from which at midnight they issued with a loud cry, "The Virgin has brought forth!  The light is waxing!"  The Egyptians even represented the new-born sun by the image of an infant which on his birthday, the winter solstice, they brought forth and exhibited to his worshipers.  No doubt the Virgin who thus conceived and bore a son on the twenty-fifth of December was the great Oriental goddess whom the Semites called the Heavenly Virgin or simply the Heavenly Goddess; in Semitic lands she was a form of Astarte.  Now Mithra was regularly identified by his worshipers with the Sun, the Unconquered Sun, as they called him; hence his nativity also fell on the twenty-fifth of December....Excerpt from Sir James George Frazer (1854-1941).  The Golden Bough.  1922. The Catholic Church under Constantine felt it was easier to incorporate heathen beliefs and practices into Christianity to attract the heathen masses rather than try to convert them with truth.  This compromise has led us to realize that our fathers have indeed inherited lies.

Jer 16:19  O YHWH, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations shall come to You from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and there is no profit in them.


Isn't it time to rid ourselves of these false feasts and other pagan vestiges syncretized into our faith to which many cling so tenaciously?
